We are happy to present the first of Headliners of One Caucasus 2019: the real intercultural sensation of Warsaw World Music Stage: Mamadou and Sama Yoon.  The biggest so far collective from beyond Caucasus in our Festival - will work together with musicians from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan na beyond.

Mamadou & Sama Yoon was created in 2014 on the initiative of Mamadou Diouf, a charismatic Senegalese artist who has recorded several albums with such artists as Włodzimierz Kiniorski or Voo Voo, and saxophonist Grzegorz Rytka (DAAB, Szwagierkolaska). The composition of the group was completed by Patrycja Napierała, Ania Patynek, Anna Piotrowska, Piotr Korzeniowski, Michał Marecki and Paweł Mazurczak (musicians playing every day in well-known Warsaw bands such as T.Love, Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa or Kayah & Transoriental Orchestra). As a result of the meeting of so many diverse musical personalities, a multicultural, professional and artistically complete project was born that brings a fresh, Slavic-African breeze to the world music scene.

Their first music album Umbada was on the prestigious World Music Charts Europe among best albums of  2016 (second place from all Polish albums).
